About the Book

By DAVID LEE HENLEY; is his second novel in the series. It continues the story of Mario, Julie, and Lou from the first book and takes the reader into the future where after twenty-six years finds a son is born into the Malone family. This son has grown and is now a member of the Last Rider Team. Though the original members have aged a bit, they are still a force to be respected, admired, and feared. They are still the A team of the agency called the Farm.It seems there is always to be a constant flow of evil and corrupt incidents happening in the world. No matter how often justice is brought to ruthless and cruel people, it never calms the tide. One wave follows another to try eroding the beach of serenity. The Last Rider Team, for this very reason, was assembled. It had but one edict, keep America and its citizenry safe and secure by any means necessary.Past architects of the agency known as the Farm believed there would always be a necessity for a group of unauthorized by congress undercover agents to make certain that the nation of America would stay an affluent and prosperous player on the world stage. The world had too many dangerous, dishonest, corrupt individuals and organizations. It was decided to create a stealth agency that would safeguard the American way of life above and beyond the legal constraints placed upon it by corrupt politicians. There would always be those who seemed to place back doors into all their legislation to circumvent the true meaning of justice. No one actually knows who originally authorized this off the book's agency, but all who knew of it had decided not to pursue its demise. They knew it was not in the constitution, but it was deemed as it should have been. Not only was the agency designed for rectifying legalistic points but also for reining in the truly evil people, individuals or those which ran companies or organizations. Those that sought only to gain profit for themselves by polluting or killing and by any other means they needed to do things to acquire their illegitimate power and monies. These powerful and influential people were usually beyond the laws of the land because most laws protect the guilty more than the victims.Rules of engagement, carefully constructed, had been introduced at its inception. The agency would first look at the problem given to them by whoever had a problem and wanted action done. Then it was decided as having merit or not. Not all missions were accepted. There were still laws that could handle most situations. Standing was given only to those obviously beyond the primary legal system. It was not only inside the country that things are worthy of being accepted. If an outside party or country was hostile toward America and the regular agencies were helpless due to the strict laws and regulations placed upon it, then the Farm agency looked into it.It has a global reach to satisfy all the diverse events its charter was designated to stabilize and repair. In this second book, The Last Rider Team will encounter many different situations. It was all designed to keep the reader interested in the outcome with uncertainty, dealing with conspiracies, deception at its core, and constant and absorbing intrigue.Chapter One deals with the introduction of Kurt, the son of Mario and Julie. Trained by his parents, Kurt and is the best operative field agent in the Farm agency. That is except for Mario. He is after all the recipient of the occasional Gift from God. Kurt meets and then has to figure out how to save Linda, his soon to be girlfriend, and kill an arms dealer. Busy, busy.Chapter Two is about saving the Farm agents that were taken prisoner by the corrupt Director of the Agency. A little confusing, huh? Mario and Julie have to help with this one because it is so personal and Kurt can't do this one alone.Chapter Three is Kurt going to his parent's ranch and getting some quality time with them.
