About the Book

Leave the Day Its Disgust. A Novel. 2nd Volume: The Carrier Pigeon or Why We Love America

This book is in Romanian. It is a masterpiece of the Romanian literature. It's author, Ştefan Dimitriu, is one of the most important Romanian writers of today.

Solomon Fridman, an old Jew lawyer same age with the 20th century, known mainly as Mister Guta, and Pompilian Covaliu, TV journalist and writer, called Pompidou by his friends, about 40 years his younger, meet each other and become friends by chance at the end of the 20th century in Bucharest, at the peak of the Ceausescu's dictatorship, when every Romanian's life was thoroughly controlled. Their encounter seems to be for both of them a providential chance... so please read the novel to see what happens next.

About the Author:

Debutează cu versuri, in 1957.
