Pero no se puede dejar de lado otra relación que tuvo, durante muchos años, el Führer. Esta de índole profesional, y con un hombre, llamado Ferdinand Porsche. La obsesión de Hitler era construir un carro que resultara tan económico que en cada hogar pudieran tener uno. Curiosamente, esa era la misma obsesión que durante su vida había alimentado el ingeniero automotriz Ferdinand Porsche. Y fue precisamente la idea común, el sueño compartido, lo que hizo que un día los dos hombres se encontraran. Hitler encomendó a Porsche la construcción del carro del pueblo, del Volkswagen. Las doncellas suicidas de Hitler combina todo esto: amor y ambición social; tragedia y progreso para el pueblo. Otras caras, si se quiere, que tuvo el Führer Adolf Hitler, quien vivió una vida plagada de maldad y locura, pero, como se muestra en esta novela, también de amor y de desamor, y de anhelos y herencias que aún hoy perviven.
