Présentation: L'Antéchrist, Imprécation contre le christianisme, (Der Antichrist - Fluch auf das Christentum) est un livre écrit par le philosophe allemand Friedrich Nietzsche et publié en 1896. Le livre a été faussement présenté comme le premier livre de l'Inversion des valeurs, puisque Nietzsche avait en fait décidé que ce texte serait toute l'Inversion.En fait, le titre peut être traduit en français à la fois par L'Anti-Christ ou par L'Anti-chrétien; d'après le contenu du livre, il est probable que l'auteur sous-entende les deux sens. D'après Ecce homo, on peut supposer que l'Antéchrist est Dionysos, dieu qui symbolise pour Nietzsche l'antithèse de l'interprétation chrétienne de l'existence.L'auteur: Friedrich Wilhelm Nietzsche est un philologue, philosophe et poète allemand né le 15 octobre 1844 à Röcken, en Prusse, et mort le 25 août 1900 à Weimar, en Allemagne.L'oeuvre de Nietzsche est essentiellement une critique de la culture occidentale moderne et de l'ensemble de ses valeurs morales (issues de la dévaluation chrétienne du monde), politiques (la démocratie, l'égalitarisme), philosophiques (le platonisme, mais surtout le socratisme, et toutes les formes de dualisme métaphysique) et religieuses (le christianisme et le bouddhisme). Cette critique procède d'un projet de dévaluer ces valeurs et d'en instituer de nouvelles dépassant le ressentiment et la volonté de néant qui ont dominé l'histoire de l'Europe sous l'influence du christianisme; ceci notamment par l'affirmation d'un Éternel Retour du même et par le dépassement de l'humanité et l'avènement du surhomme. Il faut être habitué à vivre sur des montagnes, - à voir au-dessous de soi le pitoyable bavardage de la politique du jour et de l'égoïsme des peuples. Il faut que l'on soit devenu indifférent, il ne faut jamais demander si la vérité est utile, si elle peut devenir pour quelqu'un une destinée... Une prédilection des forts pour des questions que personne aujourd'hui n'a plus le courage d'élucider; le courage du fruit défendu; la prédestination du labyrinthe. Une expérience de sept solitudes. Des oreilles nouvelles pour une musique nouvelle. Des yeux nouveaux pour les choses les plus lointaines. Une conscience nouvelle pour des vérités restées muettes jusqu'ici.
