About the Author: El Lic. Osvaldo R. Montalvo Cossío estudió economía en la Universidad Autónoma Metropolitana-Xochimilco (1985), con estudios de posgrado en México. Ha trabajado en la promoción de inversiones, en el sector privado como empleado y como empresario, y en el sector público. Además ha sido asesor de empresas privadas y de instituciones gubernamentales. Profesor universitario por muchos años, dedicado en los últimos años a las finanzas. Tiene varios ensayos publicados: John Maynard Keynes y el Financiamiento del Gasto Público (Revista de Ciencia y Cultura Vol. 1, No. 3, Universidad Iberoamericana, septiembre - diciembre del 1989), El Proceso del Déficit Fiscal (Serie Monográfica No. 1, Instituto Tecnológico de Santo Domingo, agosto del 1995), El Handicap del Comercio Exterior (Ciencia y Sociedad, Instituto Tecnológico de Santo Domingo, febrero del 1998), John Maynard Keynes: a 50 Años de la Teoría General (Revista de Ciencias Sociales No. 111, enero - marzo, 1998), La Alquimia de los Índices Generales de Precio, Ganador del 3er. Lugar del Concurso Juan Pablo Duarte de la Biblioteca del Banco Central, versión 2002. Y tiene tres libros publicados: Crítica a la economía del status quo (2011), Crítica a la economía de Marx (2014), y el más reciente (2018): La Telaraña, un libro de relatos.
