About the Book

English summary: Plutarch is recognized as one of the most important figures in the history of Platonism, and his work is essential for understanding Platonic philosophy in the imperial age. He was also, however, the high priest of Delphi, giving him a unique perspective. The present text analyzes three texts by Plutarch on the Pythian oracles in which he applies Platonic method to questions uniquely related to Delphi, especially those related to the gods, humans, and the beings between them.
