Alkasimi garde une caméra dans sa tête qui enregistre ce qu'elle voit, tout en injectant ses histoires avec des informations touristiques, parfois apparemment comme des projections de la conscience de l'écrivain à la conscience du lecteur, c'est une partie du système d'éclairage, ou dans le cadre du jeu de la fiction artistique, comme dans l'histoire Le Crime parfait, où Il y suit une histoire d'amour entre le narrateur et le Dr Madhu.Le texte est telle une boîte d'informations touristiques qui n'ajoute rien à l'intrigue, et parait comme faisant partie du jeu de l'écrivain, ou son message, afin de créer une image des milieux spirituels de la civilisation de L'Est. On doit souligner ici que le voyage ici diffère des voyages ordinaires. C'est en fait l'expression de l'anxiété et le rejet de la loi de la réalité par les personnages qui veulent s'en séparer, ou c'est l'expression d'un nomadisme naturel qui peut trouver son équivalent dans la vie des hippies et des écrivains de la génération de la colère en Europe. Alors que le voyage fait partie de l'idéologie de la reconstruction psychologique de soi et de la réconciliation avec l'autre, ou il est un refus des conditions de la guerre avec le lieu. En d'autres termes, ce voyage n'a pas une fonction utilitaire mais il assume une fonction dramatique.Deuxièmement, la réalité se mêle à un ensemble de rêves. Il est toujours difficile pour le lecteur de déterminer quand la vue se termine, et quand la vision commence, or Alkasimi adhère à la loi de la conscience et du séquençage, et établit des lignes de démarcation entre les deux mondes.Enfin, on remarque cette relation épineuse entre le matérialisme de l'Occident et la spiritualité de l'Orient. Très aisément, vous pouvez trouver des signes séparés du drame de la connaissance et de l'amour, la nouvelle de L'amour à Oslo, est une histoire lente, mais au contenu clair, traitant du concept des civilisations du sens de l'empathie, et si le narrateur est juste un témoin des événements, et que la relation est entre un Américain et une Néerlandaise, cela n'empêche pas d'écouter le battement de coeur d'Alkasimi. En particulier, dans la conclusion, quand Selim (le conteur) dit à Gabi (la néerlandaise): Es-tu enseignante ?! Quelle morale, quels idéaux, et quelles valeurs inculques-tu à tes petits élèves ? Leur apprends-tu les mensonges ? Le mensonge n'est pas seulement relatif à la parole, mais également au silence, et à la dissimulation de la vérité ? . Avant de crier aussi fort que possible: Non, je ne veux pas te voir, ni voir la maison où tu as grandi, ni le pays où tu as appris .
