El autor no escatima en referenciar en su poesía a personajes de quienes denota conocimiento sobre su estilo y lecturas transversales de su vida y obra. Por ejemplo, y para sorpresa mía, entre unos cortos poemas y otros, da un giro hasta inspirarse en pinturas de Van Gogh, su trágica vida e interpretación personal, en versos, de la misma. Digo sorpresa porque es uno de los artistas que con su pintura enviste mis pensamientos e irrumpe mis lecturas amarillas, siempre de tarde. El poema Carta 7, es un poema desgarrador; con imágenes sin recargas que te invitan a viajar; el lenguaje es impecable, recursivo, profundo y rítmico. Van Gogh/se colgó del amarillo, /pinceló casi sin fuerzas/una nueva galaxia/y en uno de sus soles, /escribió a Theo el poema/Prometido: /Volaré hermano, /lejos de esta cárcel/donde solo crecen alucinaciones/y este verso que duele, /como duele el tiempo/estrangulado entre tus cartas. He aquí una de las maravillas de la poesía, poder contar una historia en pocos versos. Y contados con belleza estética sin perder lo visceral. No pretendo escribir sobre cada poema, aunque perfectamente pudiera hacerlo, pero dejaré que sea el lector quien encuentre la riqueza literaria de cada uno de ellos y en su conjunto, del libro. Al final, estoy segura que, en esa misma dirección, está su vida, con heridas, algunas ya cicatrizadas, otras no tanto, y en este presente, de seguro, con nuevas que serán en un futuro cercano, la otra dirección. No pudiera terminar este pórtico, sin referirme al autor, aunque he hablado de su obra, que es él mismo, quiero resaltar los versos donde más diáfano lo encuentro, con su silla de ruedas, grande, victorioso, seguro de que no ha necesitado pies para surcar horizontes y que se hace poesía en cada calle donde sus manos lo han llevado mientras hace girar las ruedas que lo acercan a su destino: la vida misma pintada de resistencia. Hablaré...de las derrotas que volaron/al patio de mi sillas de ruedas./Hablaré de las gestas/a pesar de la ausencia de mis pasos. Ahora en tiempo futuro, esperanzador. Soñaré/derretiré mis alas/para que nazca el río/donde te duermas para siempre. Walter Yépez, también conocido como Pablo del Sión, supo escoger cada poema que hace parte de "EN LA MISMA DIRECCIÓN DE LOS PALÍNDROMOS". Son textos cortos que no superan -cada uno- quince versos; en algunos, referencia elementos propios de sus raíces, otros más generalizados, tras un lenguaje universal, recursivo, con los adjetivos necesarios, rico en metáforas (sin exagerar) e imágenes que invitan al lector en su línea de tiempo -atrás-, a adentrase en su mundo poético. A lo mejor a usted le pase lo que a mí -en un principio- y se sorprenda cuando lea el título del poemario y de inmediato lo asocie, además, con poemas construidos a punta de esta figura retórica, el palíndromo. Luego se sorprenderá, por segunda vez, cuando encuentre la dirección de los mismos. Al finalizar el libro, no habrá una tercera sorpresa, pero sí una sed infinita por volverlo a leer tras el mayor significado que adquiere la relectura del mismo. Volver atrás para saber quiénes fuimos, qué somos y qué no volveremos a ser. Volver atrás, lamernos las heridas, girar y volver adelante, lamer, ahora las cicatrices, que tatuaron en la memoria palíndromos con alas propias: este poemario, su autor.
