Transcurrido el trago amargo que supuso la Guerra Civil española vive la posguerra con un intenso amor y pasión hacia la vida, que casi considera regalada. La naturaleza y los campos, le acompañan en los horizontes ardientes o pacíficos durante la posguerra. "He afilado el lápiz, muy tranquilamente, la senda que ahora empieza la cubre un ciclón. Al dolor y la belleza le diremos presente, la canción de los mundos está en mi canción" . La memoria de los hechos acontecidos durante la guerra civil española, sigue vigente en la fractura de la sociedad española, en la que sigue haciéndose presente la herida no cerrada de esta guerra que dividió a las familias y a los pueblos. Esta división que aún hoy en día tiene un peso en la fragmentación de nuestro país y que sigue pareciendo una lucha interminable sin posible reconciliación. Una niña recoge sus recuerdos de infancia donde su padre le cuenta la historia que vivió durante su juventud en una guerra, estas memorias se van intercalando en el proceso del relato. El padre enseña a su hija a pintar, a escribir, a hacer poesías. Las dos hijas aprenden de la sensibilidad, pero a la vez los hondos traumas de las vivencias sufridas durante la guerra, van dejando honda huella en ambas hijas. La autora de este libro es la hija más pequeña, que va contando sus vivencias y la memoria de los acontecimientos narrados por su padre. Unido al relato se han vinculado diferentes reseñas históricas que se recogen en diferentes estudios sobre la Guerra Civil Española. La batalla de Guadalajara, el asalto a Madrid etc. Donde se narra también la muerte del hermano más mayor de la familia del protagonista, así como el fusilamiento de su padre, abuelo de la autora. Por ser militar de la república. De los innumerables versos, que Gregorio Serrano dejo transcritos, se han incluido en el libro una selección de los más interesantes, muchos de ellos hacen alusión a las vivencias de la Guerra y quedarán también para la memoria histórica. Otra importante selección de poesía está más dedicada a la naturaleza, y a diferentes ciudades y provincias de España. Mencionaré también que el poeta Miguel Hernández y el padre de la autora también cruzaron sus caminos durante esta guerra, que en algunos fragmentos del libro, denominó como "La guerra de siempr Señalar también que estas memorias escritas, fueron encontradas por la autora, al fallecimiento de su padre. En 1990.. Contaba con la edad de 73 años. Fue después de un sueño, cuando la autora recibió la inspiración de escribir este libro, para hacer llegar este mensaje al mayor número de personas posibles. Es un alegato contra todas las guerras, es una memoria que nos trae el pasado para recordarnos lo que no debe repetirse. El protagonista es un ejemplo de humanidad, heroísmo y honor. Es la pieza clave y el testigo de una memoria y de un tiempo que parece, no haber concluido. Es un llamado a despertar y salir de los sistemas autoritarios y los radicalismos. Es un llamado a volver a integrarnos con la naturaleza.
