About the Author: Reynaldo Nuncio ha sido un apasionado del software desde hace más de 50 años. Durante ese medio siglo ha tenido la oportunidad de participar en diversas actividades relacionadas con la Informática y de ese andar por diferentes caminos ha logrado tener un panorama amplio y detallado del apasionante mundo del software. Su primer contacto con las computadoras se dio en el año de 1966 cuando participó en un concurso convocado por la Comisión Federal de Electricidad para integrar el grupo de programadores que manejarían las primeras grandes computadoras que llegaron a México. Al cabo de algunos años ocupó en la CFE la jefatura del Centro de Procesamiento de Datos con sede en Guadalajara, Jalisco. En 1974 estableció con César García, su amigo y socio, la empresa G-N Programación y Sistemas, una de las primeras empresas dedicadas a la Informática en México. Más adelante, en 1979, fundó y fue el Primer Presidente del Instituto Nacional de Informática y Comunicación, A.C., la primera organización de profesionales de la Informática en México. En 1984 ocupó la gerencia de la empresa Telemática de México, una de las primeras en vender microcomputadoras al estilo de las tiendas Computerland en USA. Entre los años de 1985 y 86 escribió tres libros sobre computación. En 1987 organizó el Centro de Capacitación en Informática en la División de Educación Continua de la Universidad Autónoma de Guadalajara en donde fue maestro de computación por varios años. A partir de 1997 funda varias empresas de Informática en Guadalajara y en una de ellas desarrolla el primer sistema para transmitir TV por Internet en México. Nació en Texcoco, estado de México, obtuvo la licenciatura en Economía en la UNAM. Actualmente vive en la Ribera de Chapala con su esposa Sheree y se dedica a escribir sobre Informática.
