En este interesante y maravilloso conjunto de poemas de amor de Idalmis Castellanos Botas, puedes avizorar un romanticismo sensual que bordea lo erótico de la autora y que ha ido sufriendo una metamorfosis. Comenzó su obra poética en la adolescencia (entre los 15 a 16 años) cuando comienza la ilusión del amor. Se trata de la experiencia que le tocó vivir, fue entonces, a sentir de piel, la experiencia de los años mozos y una vida familiar de altas y bajas que le hacen sentir y adolecer de una vida que trasluce sufrimientos familiares. La ruptura del matrimonio de sus padres fundamentalmente la hacen vivir momentos muy difíciles y tristes, los cuales que la obligan a madurar tempranamente. Desde muy temprana edad, participó en diferentes actividades relacionadas con el arte, tanto en la formación y promoción, así como también en intercambios culturales hasta nuestros días. Integró coros vocales, fue solista en teatro e interpretó, inclusive, obras escritas y dirigidas por ella misma. Incursionó también en la música en la Universidad y luego en el coro de los C.D.R. de la provincia Santiago de Cuba. Participó activamente como trabajadora aficionada en diferentes eventos dentro del país, como el Congreso de los C.D.R. y los festivales de coros en la provincia tanto en música como en poesía. Su gran sensibilidad, sumada a los problemas familiares por los cuales estaba atravesando, hacen que su temperamento se vaya transformando en romántico y a manos llenas. Posteriormente, en el preuniversitario, gracias a los conocimientos recibidos sobre la literatura latinoamericana y europea, impulsan más su deseo de estudiar Arte Escénico o Música en la Escuela de Arte de La Habana, por lo que realizo el examen de ingreso para asistir a la misma, (aun con el desacuerdo de sus padres), lo que hace sobresalir en ella, para siempre, un espíritu rebelde a flor de piel y una vida melancólica pero fuerte. Es por ello su gran adicción y su manera de esconder la forma (por qué no decir autoritaria) que le fue impuesta por sus padres y de esta manera refugiar sus tristezas, mostrar sus anhelos, lo que le enseñarán un camino para justificar su existencia. Amó enormemente a José Martí, Machado, Rubén Darío, Lorca, Alfonsina Storni, Heredia, KafKa, Cirilo Villaverde, Antón Chéjov, Gertrudis Gómez de Avellaneda, Luisa Pérez de Zambrana, Nicolás Guillén y la poetisa de nuestro día Carilda Oliver Labras que fue la que más influyó en su inspiración poética y comenzó a buscar la manera, a través de sus propios versos, de expresar lo que su alma y su corazón sentían. En su centro de trabajo participó en festivales de la poesía y empezó a escribir en una emisora radial dentro de la refinería "Hermanos Díaz", donde pudo desarrollarse libremente como escritora y locutora. De esta forma, la población cercana tenía la oportunidad de escuchar sus diferentes programas. No sólo podía escribir sobre su trabajo, también escribía sobre el rol la mujer en nuestra sociedad y les daba su apoyo y sugerencias de cómo vivir con más alegría. La pasión y el amor que deja impregnados en cada poema, realzan su calidad humana. A través de los mismos, podrán percibir la intensidad y la necesidad de la autora de darle riendas sueltas a sus sentimientos, dejar una huella sincera a la nueva generación y revelar, como ser humano, la única verdad, la fuerza que nos mueve y que se apresura como única salvación de la vida humana: el amor.
