El caos de una cultura extinta por un espantoso diluvio y la falta de tierras fértiles son los resortes que impulsan al séquito a iniciar un éxodo siguiendo el recorrido solar. Atrás queda la vetusta cultura Tiahuanaco con sus inmensos ídolos tallados en piedra que, a manera de losa mortuoria sepultan su último hálito quedando como mudos testigos de lo ocurrido. El camino a su destino final durará muchos años, pero no van solos, están protegidos y amparados por su dios Wiraqocha.Así comienza la historia de Wiraqocha, el dios creador del mundo andino y la etnia incaica, dios incomprendido, postergado, parido de una oscuridad hermética. El oscurantismo de su confusa identidad ha trascendido tiempos actuales, la incomprensión de su mito hizo difícil percibir el pensar andino. La cerrazón de su origen no permitió descubrir su esencia, por eso, ha sido un enigma andino sin resolver. Sin embargo, la obra permite entender su trascendencia antes, en y después del incanato, logrando revelar su genuina identidad.Los Incas veneraron a dos dioses: Uno es Wiraqocha el Hacedor de todo, dios inescrutable y poco entendido hasta por sus propios devotos y el otro el Inti o sol entidad creada por Wiraqocha. Nos preguntamos ¿Cómo fue posible que el Inti o sol tuviera mayor jerarquía que su creador? ¿Cómo así el sol, se impuso a Wiraqocha? ¿Por qué un dios creado se impone a su creador? En este libro hallarás la respuesta a estas y otras interrogantes.Dividimos la historia de Wiraqocha en cuatro tiempos distintos: En el primero narramos los orígenes míticos del dios, es la parte más importante del libro porque allí se generan los principios andinos de la religión incaica. Además, el mito está fusionado con la leyenda de los hermanos Ayar, ambos tienen similitudes asombrosas: el mito acontece en el Mundo Alto incaico, la leyenda ocurre en el Mundo Bajo, uno es continuación del otro, lo que sucede en los cielos ocurrirá en la tierra. El segundo período comprende desde Manco Cápac hasta Cápac Yupanqui, son los cinco primeros soberanos de la dinastía del Bajo Cusco, adoradores de Wiraqocha. Con Manco Cápac se implementan los principios religiosos emanados del dios Hacedor y se consolidan las bases religiosas del futuro imperio. En esta fase aparece por primera vez la fiesta del Cápac Raymi en honor a Wiraqocha. Son tiempos con intenso fervor religioso hacia el dios Hacedor y una intolerancia absoluta hacia otros dioses y lugares sagrados. El tercer período comprende desde el reinado de Inca Roca hasta Huayna Cápac, Incas del Alto Cusco, contrario a lo anterior, la dinastía venera al Inti o sol. Resalta su tolerancia y respeto a los dioses y los lugares sagrados de otras naciones. Destaca Pachacútec, rey que transformó la estructura religiosa del incanato, impuso como dios principal al Inti o sol y desplazó al añejo dios creador. Pachacútec otorgó el equilibrio religioso requerido por su pueblo. El cuarto período se inicia con las pugnas entre Huáscar y Atahualpa, es el hito histórico del arribo español, invasores confundidos por ambos Incas como Wiraqochas. También el dios está en las vicisitudes por el acoso español ocurrido a Manco Inca Yupanqui y Titu Cusi Yupanqui, por eso, Wiraqocha mantiene presencia en la conquista y virreinato.La historia del dios Wiraqocha en el incanato es sólida y continua: permanente en los orígenes, persistente en la dinastía Bajo Cusco, intermitente en la dinastía del Alto Cusco porque se debilita con Inca Roca, se recupera con Inca Wiraqocha, pierde hegemonía con Pachacútec y recobra vigencia en el ocaso del
