Lo que no ha sucedido aún, puede suceder, de hecho, ya ha sucedido en las mentes de novelistas y creadores: la oscuridad de la vida de estos años reflejada en el manifiesto del policial negro "El halcón maltés" estelarizada por Humphrey Bogart, porque se me antoja que, En La Habana de ahora mismo, dos historias de Boston Franco la trama va tomando forma desde ese inicio del diálogo: ―A ver, Boston, lo que necesito... con la aparición del ícono infaltable en una madeja de acontecimientos que, comienza a enredarse contándonos los eventos del protagonista, el cual no es un superhéroe, ni siquiera, con suficientes valores humanos que un "proceso" insular y "renovador" de la sociedad cubana debió producir. Boston Franco es un desventurado en un mar de desventuras; sus andanzas en una ciudad a la que él describe: Desde la confluencia de Monte y Egido, largas un desconsolado vistazo a la vieja Habana: los edificios, desiguales y descoloridos, secuestrados por la tarde lluviosa, te obligan a repetirte esas sempiternas preguntas para las cuales nunca conseguirás respuestas convincentes. ¿De qué color es esta ciudad? ¿Dónde coño se esconde esa magia que le atribuyen políticos de pocas luces, turoperadores marrulleros y poetas trasnochados? Por mucho que conozcas de detectives ficticios, no atinas a ubicarlos en esta Habana en tiempo real, Ciudad Maravilla por obra insultante de quienes lucran de ella en tanto medran a toda leche, a buen recaudo en burbujas de opulencia, de espaldas a esas urticantes realidades que padecen los habaneros de corazón al contemplar, resignados y resingados, esos cotidianos e irreparables derrumbes de lugares amados desde siempre, basuras petrificadas en las esquinas, calles rotosas surcadas por baches pestilentes, perros callejeros y gatos semisalvajes cual tigres en épica lucha por el sustrato, y otras calamidades a las cuales, por si no bastara, se suman el escándalo de los vendedores o compradores de cualquier cosa, el libertinaje autorizado de los bicitaxistas en las calles interiores y el de los boteros en las desangeladas avenidas transformadas en campos de batalla por el billete insolvente, donde cualquier transeúnte está a riesgo de entrar en pánico ante los rugientes almendrones que agujerean sin compasión la frágil capa de ozono.¿Pero quién es Boston Franco? Al estar todos viajando en esta roca alrededor de una estrella común se me ocurre que Boston Franco puede ser una de las voces de "Los amigos de Mr. Cairo" canción que da título al álbum del dúo Jon and Vangelis publicado en 1981 y que rinde homenaje a las películas clásicas de Hollywood de los años 30 y 40, siendo la referencia más importante la película El halcón maltés, tanto en la canción como en La Habana de ahora mismo... se escucha el chirrido de unos neumáticos y una bocina, presumiblemente de un coche huyendo, la resonancia de una ciudad y sus habitantes y sus parlamentos que suenan idénticos: Ella vino, como en el libro, Mickey Spillane / esa noche de sábado oscura mascarada / había llenado a su amigo con plomo, lo mismo, cariño, pero luego / como nada sucede de manera similar / la investigación es el juego...(Jon & Vangelis The Friends of Mr. Cairo).Y bien, Boston Franco te pregunto: ¿Estás listo para debutar como el primer paparazi-huele braguetas de La Habana y sus cayos adyacentes?Eduardo René Casanova EaloEditorial Primigenios
