Est le fruit d'une expérience et des réflexions quelquefois à chaud, qu'en toute humilité je livre aux filles et fils de ce pays, eux qui sont les premiers concernés par son sort et son devenir. Dans l'espoir aussi tenu qu'il puisse être, que cela pourra leur être de quelque utilité dans le combat qui est le leur, d'édifier la NATION GUINÉE juste, démocratique, libre et prospère dans ce merveilleux pays. Combat que je présume titanesque mais pas IMPOSSIBLE. Mon intention, et ma prétention ne sont ni littéraires ni encore moins historiennes. Elles ne visent qu'à apporter un modeste matériau aux politiques, philosophes, historiens et sociologues qui auront à s'affronter à cette tâche. Et à contribuer quelque peu à la connaissance et à la compréhension de l'histoire de notre pays. Et par la même occasion livrer mes bribes et esquisses de solutions pour un avenir que de toutes les forces de mon âme je souhaite radieux pour le peuple de Guinée qui a si longtemps souffert le martyre, sans le mériter le moins du monde. Avec l'espoir et le souhait ardent que cela contribuera à éveiller des vocations patriotiques dans ce sens et évitera la répétition des fautes et erreurs commises dans le passé. Vous me permettrez de solliciter l'indulgence des lecteurs pour les insuffisances et lacunes que l'on trouvera sans nul doute dans ce document. Qui je le dis sincèrement, n'est et ne se veut ni exhaustif ni encore moins parfait. Ces quelques lignes ne délivrent pas la VERITE, mais plus modestement la part de vérité d'un, parmi les millions de ceux qui ont vécu dans leur esprit et dans leur chair les évènements dont il est question.
About the Author: Mamadou Kolon Diallo est né en 1933, à Koundou Thiankoye en Guinée. En 1950, avec son diplôme de Brevet Elémentaire, il obtient une bourse pour le Lycée Van Vollenhoven de Dakar, au Sénégal. De 1954 à 1958, il tente le concours d'entrée à l'Ecole Normale Supérieure de Saint-Cloud, au Lycée Chaptal de Paris, puis une Licence de Mathématiques à l'Académie de Poitiers, tout en militant activement à L'Union Générale des Elèves et Etudiants Guinéens de France (UGEEGF), et à la Fédération des Etudiants d'Afrique Noire en France(FEANF). Après le Referendum et l'indépendance de la Guinée, il retourne dans son pays, où il travaille successivement en tant que Surveillant General du Lycée de Donka (1959-1960) et chargé de cours au Collège Court de Labé (1960-1961). En décembre 1961, il est arrêté dans ce que le Pouvoir en place appelle Le Complot des Enseignants et est incarcéré au Camp de la Garde Républicaine de Camayenne qui deviendra plus tard le Camp Mamadou BOIRO. En 1965, à la suite du complot dit Complot Petit Toure, les anciens détenus de 1961 sont envoyés dans les différents camps à l'intérieur du pays. L'auteur atterrit à Guékédou, à 530 km de Conakry, d'où il sera libéré le 2 Octobre, 1967. En 1969, il quitte l'enseignement pour servir successivement; à l'OFAB (Office des Bauxites de Boké), à L'OBK (Office des Bauxites de Kindia) et au Ministère de l'Elevage et de la Pêche, où il prend une retraite anticipée. Mr. Diallo est marié, père de trois enfants et de Cinq petit enfants.
