About the Book

Volume 1 explores the lives and voyages of Folletti and her mate Achmid Huchmid. Folletti Windknot never anticipated how complicated assuming human form would be. Transitioning from a naïve, adventuresome Sylph, she quickly becomes a new mother, young wife, and finally, an environmental warrior, capable of wielding advanced elemental combat skills. She uses her newly developed skills to defend herself and her daughter but tragically loses her mate during the final confrontation with the powerful Jiaolong, who is attempting to silence her.

The decision to step beyond her role as an environmental custodian, masked behind nature's face, and fight for a species not her own causes Folletti and her family become targets of those forces, human and Elemental, who desire dominion over the Earth for their own avidity.

The compromise and alternative tactic that she and her mate employ to overcome the forces arrayed against them speaks to their humanity, courage, and determination; of course, Mother Nature has a will of Her own, and its name is Typhoon Tonga. The confrontation that ensues demonstrates Folletti's love for her family, the ecosystem, and her willingness to risk all for what she believes is just.

In volume two, Folletti must assume the mantle of matriarch of the Huchmid Family and raise her two young daughters as a single parent. Her eldest, Fionna, a young Irish woman, born of two different worlds, is tasked with changing the most recalcitrant hearts and minds in US government to address climate disruption.

Fionna struggles to find her place in the human world because of her special nature. She is exceptionally bright, a lesbian, and a muse. Her first assignment from the Muse Corps, after graduation from Oxford University, is to replace a fellow muse, and brief lover, a young woman, who like so many before her, has disappeared under mysterious circumstances. However, this time it is at the hands of Mr. Minax Wolf Barghest, lobbyist for Big Energy Corporation, handler for several Republican Congressmen, and operative of a nefarious group of elemental beings known as the Cabal..

Fionna's task is to provide a positive influence on her employer, Congressman Gregory Reed (R) from South Carolina, member of the US House of Representatives and notorious climate change denier.

Fionna is obliged to investigate the murder of her predecessor, Justice Moriarty, conduct research for Congressman Reed's office on CO2 emissions, affect constructive change on her employer, while combating other elemental beings just prior to the outbreak of an Elemental/Human War for the fate of Humankind and the Environment.
