About the Author: Manuel R. Sauces, nació en Santaella (Córdoba) 1947. Desde 1966 reside en Madrid. Su actividad laboral se desarrolló en la empresa privada y en la red hospitalaria sanitaria pública de la Comunidad Autónoma de Madrid. Cursó estudios de Magisterio y Geografía e Historia. Ha participado activamente en los movimientos sociales, liderando significativos colectivos ciudadanos durante largo tiempo. Viajó por México (Estado de Quintana Roo, Península de Yucatán), República Dominicana, Londres, París, Roma y Lisboa adquiriendo una visión social que enriqueció sus principios y conocimientos. Dentro de su afición por la historia dedicó viajes y estudios relacionados con el Camino de Santiago, el románico medieval, la Vía de la Plata, comarcas de Galicia, el País Vasco, comunidad Valenciana y Andalucía. Nacido en el corazón de La Campiña cordobesa, valle medio del río Genil, su interés por el mundo tartesio le vino por añadidura. Autor de La saga de Tartessos, narración historiográfica que pretende una aproximación a la vida real en el legendario reino, al margen de tradiciones fabulosas, desde un supuesto origen a mediados del siglo VII a.C., hasta su ocaso, allá por el siglo VI a.C.
