Es el sumergirte en una aventura, de poesía y ensueño, donde la lucha por el amor y la búsqueda de la verdad, nos orilla a otro tiempo. En una lucha trivial. La Magia natural. Una novela que mezcla Historia, Ficción y Realidad. Una tarde, como tantas, una situación vivida de verdad, un hallazgo arqueológico, en mi barrio, y un trabajo de campo, me indujo a crear esta novela. Aunque hay detalles, de la verdad, que no puedo contar, por ser fiel al testimonio de una maravillosa arqueóloga, si os puedo asegurar, que la base histórica de gran parte del contenido de esta novela, fue real. Luego la ficción, hará de las suyas, pero os puedo asegurar, que dos amigos sevillanos, Miguel y José Luis, dieron testimonio y fueron testigos del hallazgo, de una ciudad milenaria: Sevilla. Cuando el afán investigador por lo oculto, de la cultura, el arte y la historia de nuestra tierra, reúne a dos amigos, que pasean por su barrio: "Íbamos charlando de nuestros gustos, La Historia nos emocionaba y compartíamos las mismas aficiones, que no era otra que hablar de las curiosidades de esta santa tierra de artistas y de tan rica historia y cultura. Una mañana paseando, por las calles de nuestro barrio, La barriada ElCano, descubrimos perplejos un nuevo hallazgo arqueológico medieval. Una mañana que íbamos de alegre paseo y concentrados en otras historias, íbamos discutiendo seguramente sobre otra fecha y época, de otro monumento. Comenzamos a encontrar filas de tumbas adosadas y destapadas, aquí es cuando nos miramos, con brillos en los ojos y es cuando comienza la aventura por lo desconocido. Estábamos acostumbrados a salir al casco antiguo de Sevilla, nos conocíamos hasta el rincón más oculto de Híspalis o de Tartessos, plagada de arte y curiosidades históricas y descubrir secretos de nuestra ciudad. Tradiciones, leyendas y la mayoría basadas en hechos reales. De pronto nos encontramos, en las calles que nos vio crecer, muy cerquita de la calle Bergantín, la que tantas veces nos vio sentarnos en sus arriates de mampostería, y esa fábrica del tabaco o llamada coloquialmente La Tabacalera, donde tantas veces de pequeño, vimos películas de proyección y visitas escolares. Pegadito allí, en su cera del frente, allí estaba todo ese mundo por descubrir". Aquel día me propuse a escribir mi novela. me puse manos a la obra, a investigar lo que estaba pasando y entonces fue cuando conocí misteriosamente a la Arqueóloga, maravillosa Arqueóloga, que llevaba el proyecto, ese trabajo de campo. Llamémoslo casualidad o causalidad. Al parecer se había descubierto parte de un campo santo y base de una muy antigua ermita de finales del siglo XVI. No es una novela de caballerías al uso, pero tiene esa densidad aventurera. La búsqueda de la verdad, la búsqueda de la magia natural, la defensa a ultranza de los demás, la lucha imparcial por el amor, el amor que consideramos verdadero, y sobre los valores de la amistad y hermandad. El humor quijotesco de las situaciones ridículas o de peligro. Valores básicos y acciones que podemos comparar, como son los de un caballero.
