About the Book

It ' the story of Luca Sirti, a university student that live away from home and it is set in the mid-seventies.Students from the University of Rome are still suffering the after-effects of 1968 and there are moments of chaos with violence, sometimes bloody, between police and young people of the extra-parliamentary left. Luca consideres himself a neutral observer in the front line while with his group of friends spends his study free time to comment the experiences of the French Scapigliatura and writings of Hermann Hesse or to listen to 'silent contemplation' his music (David Bowie). Then his life changes suddenly when, involved, in spite of himself, in a stampede caused by a charge of cops meets Gilda who helps him to hide. Gilda comes from a wealthy family of Milan. She studies sociology and she is the leader of the Trotskyite group in Volsci street. Between the two young comes an upsetting and dangerous passion. He finds himself hunted by the Digos (political police), who believes he is the mind of Red Brigades of the roman column and by the same terrorist group that believe he is an infiltrate of the police ... ..
About the Author: Michele Pisculli is a physician with an innate passion for writing. He has published two novels and a collection of poems in Italy. After this experience he decided to publish his books in the U.S. only. He chose an unusual way to do it, dedicating them to the large Italian-American community present in this great country. The text is in Italian language but there is also the title and summary book in english. In this way, published the second edition of two novels: 'The story of Zaira: my Cinderella on 4 paws' and ' The House of Love' and the collection of poems 'Hidden Truths'. He also published a new story: 'The Synesthete: the Resurrection'. A worrying story in its dramatic and passionate journey of faith toward God, of his protagonist.
