Les jeunes filles et les joueurs qui avaient été éliminés du tournoi s'arrêtaient un moment, et se mêlaient à cette petite cour mondaine, où une femme surtout était entourée, adulée et comme royale. Puis, ils se dirigeaient vers une cabane, située au milieu du rectangle que divisait une haie de fusains, et autour de laquelle étaient disposées des tables pour le thé.
