Die Bedrohungen kommen nicht nur vom GAFAM-Verbund (Google, Amazon, Facebook, Apple und Microsoft), sondern zugleich aus dem sogenannten Reich der Mitte. Künstliche Intelligenz hat natürlich auch ihre positiven Seiten, beispielsweise in der medizinischen Diagnostik, der Verkehrs- oder Verbrechensbekämpfung. Die Spracherkennung und Sprachübersetzung eröffnen ungeahnte Möglichkeiten für Information und Kommunikation. Es kommt darauf an, wofür sie genutzt werden. Im Milieu der 1970er Jahre war das Internet als eine Technik geplant, die den Menschen neue Freiräume eröffnen sollte. Nachdem sich aber der Neoliberalismus der digitalen Wirtschaft bemächtigte, ist Ernüchterung der Euphorie gewichen. Der Idee, dass sich Roboter eines Tages als Endprodukt der menschlichen Evolution an die Spitze des Universums setzen, erteilt der Autor eine Absage. Zurück zur Vernunft, rät er den sogenannten Transhumanisten und Singularisten. About the Author: Prof. Dr. Walter Simon ist gebürtiger Hamburger und gelernter Drogist. Nach der Lehre fuhr er zunächst zur See. Anschließend studierte er als Stipendiat der Hans Böckler-Stiftung an der Universität für Wirtschaft und Politik in Hamburg, später an der Johann-Wolfgang-von-Goethe-Universität in Frankfurt am Main sowie an der Sophia-Universität in Tokio Wirtschafts- und Sozialwissenschaften mit den Abschlüssen Dipl.-Volkswirt und Dipl.-Soziologe. 1978 promovierte er zum Dr. rer. pol. Im gleichen Jahr trat er als Trainee in der AEG-Telefunken AG als Managemententwickler in das Berufsleben ein. 1982 gründete er das Innovationsteam für Produktion und Wirtschaft GmbH mit Sitz in Bad Nauheim, aus dem später das Corporate University Center hervorging. Er zählt zu den bekannteren deutschen Wirtschaftstrainern, -autoren und -beratern Aus seiner "Feder" stammen 22 Bücher und etwa 200 Artikel. 2006 gewann er den Internationalen Trainingspreis in Silber (Wirtschaft). Etwa 15000 Menschen nahmen an seinen Seminaren und Vorträgen teil. Von 1995 bis 2002 hatte er den Lehrstuhl für Unternehmensführung an der Wiesbaden Business School (University) inne. Er lebt und wirkt seit 1985 in Bad Nauheim.
