Um das vorhandene Kundenpotential gezielt ansprechen zu können, wird der Kunde durch vielfältige Aktionen und Strategien umworben. Viele Taktiken zielen auf die Gewinnung neuer Kunden und sollen dabei gleichzeitig bestehende Kunden binden. Dazu gibt es eine sehr breite Palette von Möglichkeiten Kunden anzusprechen: Werbung auf Messen, über Fernsehen und Rundfunk, Internet, Prospekte, Plakate, Postwurfsendungen oder Mailings bis hin zum Werbeartikel. Alle diese Maßnahmen unterliegen saisonalen Schwankungen und erfordern, wenn sie erfolgreich sein sollen, viel Personal- und Kostenaufwand in unterschiedlicher Höhe. Vor dieser Herausforderung und Bewertung stehen im zunehmenden Maße auch die deutschen Genossenschaftsunternehmen. An dieser Stelle soll die Frage beantwortet werden, ob es in der heutigen Zeit noch möglich ist, Kunden mit Werbeartikeln zu gewinnen bzw. zu binden und ob das vertraute Sprichwort: "Kleine Geschenke erhalten die Freundschaft" seine Wirkung gegenwärtig und auch in Zukunft noch erfüllt. Es soll analysiert und geklärt werden, wie diese Maßnahmen effektiv zu gestalten sind, und ab wann es sich lohnt über Outsourcing nachzudenken. Die Einleitung soll die Möglichkeiten aber auch das Problem der Werbung mit Werbeartikeln verdeutlichen. Es sollen die Wege und das Potential aufzeigt werden, die durch das Outsourcing eines Werbeartikelprogramms innerhalb des genossenschaftlichen FinanzVerbundes möglich sind und wie diese realisiert werden können.
