Studienarbeit aus dem Jahr 2009 im Fachbereich Philosophie - Philosophie des 20. Jahrhunderts / Gegenwart, Note: 1,3, Christian-Albrechts-Universität Kiel (Philosophisches Institut), Veranstaltung: Kulturphilosophie, Sprache: Deutsch, Abstract: Ziel dieser Arbeit ist es, die Argumentation der Kulturtheorie Freuds und damit auch die Grundlagen seiner Kulturkritik nachvollziehbar zu machen. Angesichts der Fülle an wissenschaftlichen Überlegungen Freuds selber und derer die an seine anknüpfen, sei nicht der Anspruch an diese Arbeit gestellt, weltbewegend Neues aufzuzeigen. Der Anspruch kann nur darin bestehen, die Gedanken Freuds, die dem Autor besonders interessant erscheinen und die wichtig für die Entwicklung seiner Kulturtheorie sind, aufzugreifen und anhand derer eigene Überlegungen anzustellen. Es ist ein besonderes Merkmal unserer heutigen Kultur, dass alles in irgendeiner Form schon mal dagewesen ist. Doch neu ist das, was für einen selber neu ist. Freud selbst macht in seiner kulturtheoretischen Schrift "Das Unbehagen in der Kultur" aus dem Jahre 1930 deutlich: "Ich habe bei keiner Arbeit so stark die Empfindung gehabt wie diesmal, daß ich allgemein Bekanntes darstelle, Papier und Tinte, in weiterer Folge Setzerarbeit und Druckerschwärze aufbiete, um eigentlich selbstverständliche Dinge zu erzählen." Und trotzdem werden selbst 80 Jahre nach dem Erscheinen dieser Schrift, dem einen oder anderen die in ihr enthaltenen Gedanken zu unserer Kultur neu sein. Die eigentliche Selbstverständlichkeit haftet nämlich nicht dem Wesen der Kultur an, sondern der Art und Weise, wie der Mensch ihr gegenübersteht: Als sei sie selbstverständlich. Das macht es dem Einzelnen insofern einfach, als dass es keines Versuches seinerseits bedarf, sie sich verständlich zu machen. Doch wer diesen Versuch wagt, und mit Freud in die Untiefen kulturtheoretischer Überlegungen eindringt, der wird erkennen, dass die selbstverständlichen Dinge, von denen Freud spricht, unserer alltäglichen Au
