Die vorliegende Studie wurde durchgeführt, um den Korrosionsverlust von Zinkmetall in verschiedenen Konzentrationen von Salpetersäure zu bewerten und zum Schutz von Zinkmetall verwendete der Autor aromatische Amine (Toludine, Nitroaniline, Chloraniline) und aliphatische Amine (Ethanolamine, Ethylamine). Der Korrosionsverlust von Zink nimmt mit zunehmender Konzentration aller Säuren zu. Der Korrosionsverlust wird durch die Anwesenheit von Diffusionssauerstoff, die Art der stattfindenden komplexen Reaktion und auch die Art des Schutzfilms beeinflusst. Die Hemmungseffizienz wurde bei allen untersuchten aromatischen Aminen bei allen Inhibitoren von Inhibitoren mit zunehmender Säurekonzentration erhöht. Bei allen Arten von aromatischen Aminen haben sich o-Chloranilin, m-Nitroanilin und m-Nitroanilin als ausgezeichnete Inhibitoren erwiesen. Bei allen aliphatischen Aminen erwies sich Ethanolamin bei allen Säuren als ausgezeichneter Inhibitor. Thermodynamische Parameter wie Aktivierungsenergie (Ea), Freie Energie der Adsorption (ΔG°a), Adsorptionswärme (Qads), Enthalpie (ΔH) und Entropie (ΔS) werden ebenfalls untersucht. Die Neigung der Tafel in Gegenwart von Inhibitoren weist auf deren Wirkung sowohl auf den anodischen als auch auf den kathodischen Prozess während der Korrosion von Zink in Salpetersäure hin.
