Masterarbeit aus dem Jahr 2010 im Fachbereich Medien / Kommunikation - Film und Fernsehen, Note: 1,8, Hochschule der Medien Stuttgart (Fachhochschule), Veranstaltung: Elektronische Medien Master, Mediengestaltung, Sprache: Deutsch, Abstract: Diese Masterthesis behandelt die Entwicklung des Unternehmensfilms. Angefangen von frühen Industriefilmen der 30er und 40er Jahre bis hin zu modernen Corporate Videos. Es wird der Frage nachgegangen ob, bzw. in wie weit sich der Industriefilm als eigene Filmgattung entwickelt hat. Zudem sind kennzeichnende Stilmittel oder Konventionalisierungen weitere Schwerpunkte der Arbeit. Es wird gezeigt, dass typische Elemente im Industriefilm wie z.B. der Panorama-Schwenk kein filmisches Stilmittel ist, sondern ein bildlicher Ausdruck der visuellen Kommunikation. Dieser These liegt die Annahme zu Grunde, dass ein Filmstil erst dann als solcher zu erkennen ist, wenn bestimmte Ausdrucksformen durch feine Variationen durchgehend auftauchen. Es gibt jedoch übergeordnete Stilelemente im Industriefilm, etwa bei der Einheit der Produktionsschritte. Diese Erkenntnisse fließen in das Thema Unternehmensfilme als Bestandteil der Corporate Identity ein. Hier wird der Unternehmensfilm aus heutiger Sicht beleuchtet. Anhand der Kampagne The Hire von BMW und Soundcheck von Opel werden moderne Spielformen des Storytellings im Unternehmensfilm gezeigt. Der zweite Teil der Arbeit besteht aus der Umsetzung eines Imagefilms für das Fraunhofer Institut Stuttgart. Hier wird der komplette Entstehungsprozess behandelt, von ersten Vorgesprächen bis zur fertigen Postproduktion. Zudem wir erläutert, wie die Erkenntnisse der theoretischen Auseinandersetzung mit dem Thema Unternehmensfilm in den Entstehungsprozess des Fraunhofer Imagefilms eingeflossen sind.
