Inhaltsangabe: Einleitung: Die Prozessüberwachung während des Schleifprozesses - das „in-process-monitoring" - gewinnt zunehmend an Bedeutung. Insbesondere direkt in der Kontaktzone zwischen Werkzeug und Werkstück gemessene Prozessgrößen wie z.B. die Schleiftemperaturen haben einen großen Einfluss auf die Werkstückqualität und sind nicht zuletzt für eine wirtschaftliche Prozessgestaltung wichtig. Im Rahmen der vorliegenden Arbeit werden werkzeug- sowie werkstückseitig Messketten aufgebaut und die Funktionsnachweise mit Hilfe stationärer Spannungs- und Wärmequellen erbracht. Anschließend wird die Spannungsreihe der eingesetzten Thermoelemente experimentell überprüft und durch die Gegenüberstellung mit den theoretischen Werten der Verstärkungsfaktor des eingesetzten Telemetriesystems ermittelt. Neben der stationären Verifizierung werden Stichversuche beim Flachschleifen durchgeführt und anschließend die Einsetzbarkeit der Versuchseinrichtungen für Kontaktzonentemperaturmessungen im Flachschleifprozess beurteilt. In der werkzeugseitigen Messkette wird ein Telemetriesystem zur drahtlosen Datenübertragung eingesetzt. Die Vorversuche haben gezeigt, dass dieses System die Datenübertragung aus der Schleifscheibe gewährleistet und die Messwertaufzeichnung ermöglicht. Während der Stichversuche bereitet die rotierende Schleifscheibe mit integriertem Telemetriering ebenfalls keine Probleme bei der Datenerfassung. Die Schleifscheibenspezifikation und der vorliegende Thermoelementeinbau ermöglichten keine Messung der unmittelbaren Kontaktzonentemperatur. Es wurde allerdings durch einen provozierten Werkzeugbruch auf Grund der gewählten Zustellung deutliche Temperatursignale erfasst. Die Versuchsserie bestätigt zudem die in der Fachliteratur genannte Beobachtung, dass die Schleiftemperaturen mit zunehmender Vorschubgeschwindigkeit ansteigen.
