Inhaltsangabe: Einleitung: Zielsetzung dieser Arbeit ist die Entwicklung eines Personalentwicklungskonzeptes für Betriebe der mittelständischen IT-Wirtschaft. Das Konzept soll den Bedürfnissen eines neuen selbstorganisierten Beschäftigtentypen Rechnung tragen, der sich auf Grund vielschichtiger Entwicklungen vor allem in der IT-Branche entwickelt. Dazu wird im zweiten Kapitel anhand von Auswertungen der aktuellen Literatur ein Bild eines in der IT-Branche häufig vertretenen Beschäftigtentypen gezeichnet. Dies geschieht durch die Verdeutlichung der Entwicklungen im Arbeitsumfeld während der letzten Jahre (Kapitel 2.1). Danach wird der Beschäftigtentyp des Arbeitskraftunternehmers, als Idealtyp eines Beschäftigten der Informationsgesellschaft, vorgestellt (Kapitel 2.2). Nach einer Abgrenzung und Definition der mittelständischen IT-Branche erfolgt die Festlegung der Charakteristika eines neuen Beschäftigtentypen, der die Grundlage für das Entwicklungskonzept ist (Kapitel 2.3 - 2.4). Kapitel 3 steht ganz im Zeichen des Begriffs der Personalentwicklung. Basis für dieses Kapitel ist ebenfalls eine Auswertung einschlägiger Fachliteratur. Nach einer Definition und der Darstellung der Zielsetzungen von Personalentwicklung erfolgt eine Einordnung in die Welt eines Unternehmens (Kapitel 3.1 - 3.4). Im Anschluss daran steht ein Überblick über die typischen Phasen der Personalentwicklung und deren Maßnahmen (Kapitel 3.5 - 3.7). Kapitel 3.8 liefert schließlich eine Begründung für die Sinnhaftigkeit von Personalentwicklung in Betrieben der mittelständischen IT-Wirtschaft bezüglich des in Kapitel 2 erarbeiteten Beschäftigtentypus. Im vierten Kapitel erfolgt die Erarbeitung eines Konzeptes zur Personalentwicklung vor dem Hintergrund der in den ersten Kapiteln gewonnenen Erkenntnisse.
