Gewohnheiten spielen im Leben eines jeden Menschen eine bedeutende Rolle. Fast alle Entscheidungen sind mehr oder weniger stark von Gewohnheiten geprägt, so daß man Gewohnhei- ten als wichtige Einflußgrößen sozialer und psychischer Pro- zesse bezeichnen kann. In der vorliegenden Arbeit wird das Phänomen der Gewohnheit unter dem Aspekt der Entstehung habituellen Kaufverhaltens ana- lysiert. Entscheidungsprozesse von Konsumenten bilden die the- oretische Bezugsgrundlage, von der aus die Bedingungen habitu- ellen Kaufverhaltens abgeleitet werden. Da jedoch die gegen- wärtig auf die Informationsverarbeitung von Individuen konzen- trierte theoretische Perspektive zur Analyse von Entscheidungen für die Erklärung habituellen Verhaltens zu eng ist, werden auch verhaltenswissenschaftliche Theorien im Rahmen lernpsychologi- scher und soziologischer Forschung explizit mitberücksichtigt. Die Analyse eines komplexen, theoretisch und empirisch noch kaum durchdrungenen Verhaltensphänomens wie dem habituellen Kaufen kann angemessen nicht ohne Unterstützung und ohne Be- teiligung anderer Personen durchgeführt werden. Allen, die zum Gelingen dieser Arbeit beigetragen haben und mich direkt oder indirekt unterstützten, gebührt daher mein aufrichtiger Dank, verbunden mit der Bitte um Verständnis dafür, daß ich an die- ser Stelle aufgrund der vielen Helfer auf eine namentliche Nennung verzichten muß.
