Bachelorarbeit aus dem Jahr 2015 im Fachbereich Didaktik - Politik, politische Bildung, Note: 1,8, Sprache: Deutsch, Abstract: Die vorliegende Arbeit widmet sich der Analyse eines politischen Problems innerhalb des Politikfeldes "Schulpolitik" im Bundesland Berlin, das sich im Verlauf der 1990er Jahre entwickelte, in den Jahren um die Jahrtausendwende öffentlichkeitswirksam zutage trat und im Zeitraum zwischen 2005 und 2009 zu einer bemerkenswerten (schul)politischen Auseinandersetzung innerhalb der Berliner politics führte. Es ging um die Ausgestaltung der ethisch-religiösen Bildung für Kinder und Jugendliche innerhalb des Berliner Schulsystems. Das seit der Nachkriegszeit etablierte Berliner Sondermodell von eigenständig durchgeführten, jedoch in den regulären Schulbetrieb integrierten freiwilligen Unterrichtsangeboten der großen Kirchen und des Humanistischen Verbandes war nach zehn Jahren Einwanderung und Multikulturalisierung in die Krise geraten, da es seinen inhaltlichen Zielstellungen immer weniger gerecht wurde und mit Beginn der 2000er Jahre sogar vollends in Widerspruch zu diesen Zielen zu geraten drohte. Daraufhin wurde im Jahr 2005 von der regierenden Koalition aus SPD und PDS eine umstrittene bildungspolitische Entscheidung getroffen (die Einführung eines neuen, für alle verbindlichen Schulfaches "Ethik"), die unmittelbar darauf zu einer längeren schulpolitischen Auseinandersetzung unter Nutzung des für Berlin relativ neuen politischen Instruments "Volksentscheid" führte und erst im Jahr 2009 endete. Der Autor hat diesen Konflikt in Berlin selbst miterlebt, darin auch auf der kirchlichen Seite Partei ergriffen und kennt einige beteiligte Akteure persönlich. Daher erschien das Vorhaben lohnend, diese Vorgänge noch einmal selbst einer wissenschaftlichen Politikfeldanalyse zu unterziehen und dabei gleichzeitig ein bisher nicht auf diesen Fall angewandtes politikwissenschaftliches Analysemodell auf seine Erklärungskraft zu testen.
