Forschungsarbeit aus dem Jahr 2011 im Fachbereich Theologie - Praktische Theologie, Universität Wien, Sprache: Deutsch, Abstract: Migration und Integration stehen als politische und wissenschaftliche Begriffe in vielen Räumen gesellschaftlichen Denkens, selten werden sie allerdings inhaltlich gefüllt, noch seltener theologisch reflektiert. Die vorliegende Studie beschäftigt sich daher mit der Frage, welche Anfragen sich aus der Perspektive einer Theologie des Anders-Seins an ausgewählte soziologische und politische Konzepte von Integration ergeben, d.h. welche notwendigen Kriterien der Herangehensweise an den Komplex Integration eine theologische Reflexion aufzeigt und sowohl in Richtung Politik und Gesellschaft, als auch in Richtung Kirche und der eigenen wissenschaftlich-theologischen Forschungspraxis formulieren kann. In einem ersten Schritt werden dazu einerseits die statistischen Erhebungen des österreichischen Innenministeriums im Zuge der Studie "Integration in Österreich" sowie andererseits die politischen Integrationskonzepte der Städte Salzburg und Wien analysiert. Forschungsleitend ist dabei die Frage, ob und wie Immigrantinnen und Immigranten selbst zur Sprache kommen und welche Asymmetrien zwischen ansässiger Mehrheitsgesellschaft und den zu Integrierenden im Bezug auf ihre Befragung sowie in konkreten Modellen zu Tage treten. In einem zweiten Schritt wird - basierend auf den Erkenntnissen der empirischen Untersuchung - versucht, den Begriff Integration aus sozialwissenschaftlicher und theologischer Perspektive zu beschreiben und zu reflektieren, um die Ziele einer praktisch-theologischen Auseinandersetzung und Reflexion aufzuzeigen und zu formulieren. Dazu wird zunächst eine Begriffsklärung und -schärfung auf grundsätzlicher Ebene vorgenommen, anhand derer Missverständnisse, Missbräuche und prinzipielle Probleme des Begriffs Integration aufgezeigt und für den weiteren Diskurs reflektiert werden.
