Studienarbeit aus dem Jahr 2020 im Fachbereich Germanistik - Gattungen, Note: 1,0, Rheinisch-Westfälische Technische Hochschule Aachen (Institut für Germanistische und Allgemeine Literaturwissenschaft), Veranstaltung: NDL Seminar: 'Methoden und Modelle' (Gattungstheorie kleiner Formen), Sprache: Deutsch, Abstract: Im Folgenden soll die jüdische Witzkultur in den Fokus gerückt werden und anhand von Beispielen jüdischer Erzählwitze das Gattungsmerkmal der Komik, die ihrerseits durch ein subversives Potential gekennzeichnet ist, herausgearbeitet werden. Es wird der Fragestellung nachgegangen, inwiefern sich die Merkmale der Komik in der Textsorte des Witzes widerspiegeln. Nachdem zunächst ein Überblick über die Merkmale der Komik erfolgt, wird die Textsorte des Witzes in Bezug zu ihrem Entstehungskontext als kleine Form gesetzt und näher definiert. Anschließend wird analysiert, wie sich die gattungsspezifischen Ausprägungen im jüdischen Witz präsentieren, indem die Situation der jüdischen Gemeinschaft in der Moderne charakterisiert wird, um im Anschluss einige Beispiele jüdischer Erzählwitze zu erörtern. Witze sind heutzutage allgegenwärtig und helfen den Menschen sich von ihren alltäglichen Anspannungen zu befreien. Sie werden im gesellschaftlichen Kontext zur Hebung der Laune erzählt oder kursieren als Textsorte in Witzesammlungen. Doch nicht jeder Witz wird auch als witzig empfunden, denn er ist nicht nur abhängig von seinem Inhalt, der Art und Weise, wie und besonders von wem er erzählt wird, sondern auch von seiner historischen und sozialen Situierung. Die Frage was Komik darf, ist heutzutage besonders präsent und nicht selten kommt es aufgrund von Grenzüberschreitungen zu Empörungen. "Pointen, [die] auf der Ba-sis von Antisemitismus, Rassismus sowie allgemeiner Menschenfeindlichkeit" aufgebaut werden, antisemitische Klischees bestätigen und die den "Unterschied zwischen jüdischen Witz und Judenwitz nicht zu kennen" scheinen, stoßen auf heftige Kritik.
