About the Book

It is very important that man knows his true identity. Knowing your true identity will determine your destiny. Knowing your true identity gives you the courage to walk into it. When we know our identity, we will be able and ready to find and fulfill purpose. If we don't know what our true identity is, then we cannot start living a life that is consistent with our true nature and values and we will only frustrate ourselves rather than be able to live in harmony with our identity and be able to live up to our true potential. The way you see your life shapes your life. How you define life determines your destiny. Your perspective will influence how you invest your time, spend your money, use your talents, and value your relationships. One of the best ways to understand other people is to ask them, "How do you see your life?" You will discover that there are as many answers to that question as there are people. It's the view of life that you hold, consciously or unconsciously, in your mind. It's your description of how life works and what you expect from it.What's behind this struggle of identity? It comes down to worldview. Because we are made in the image of God, God is the fixed reference point on which our design, purpose, and value are established. If we want to know who we are, we must start by looking up (at Him), not around (at others) or within (at ourselves). We, Christians believe the Bible record that God created Man. Bible records that he was an ordinary dust before God breath into him "the Breath of Life ", and he became a living soul. Therefore, the true identity of man starts from the fact that he was made in the "image of God", and that he became a living soul. God created the man to be like Him. God created man to be in His likeness. We want to know God to know who we truly are. To know our true identity, man needs to know God to discover his true identity. When the man knows himself, he will be able to know who he is. He will know his nature, strength and weaknesses. He will know how to function. He would know what he can do, and his weaknesses. The journey with God begins with knowing yourself. Without it you cannot understand God. Without it, you cannot know God or know how to worship Him acceptably. Without it, you cannot even understand the Bible. A lot of confusion that we witness these days in Christianity is because of not knowing ourselves. You cannot understand how to relate with God if you don't know yourself. Unfortunately, there are few or no relevant books on knowing yourself. Most of the books I came across when I wanted to know why most people do not know themselves, I found that they missed the truth completely. In fact, they created more confusion. The original true identity of man ̅was given to him in the garden at Eden. God created him in His image. His identity is primarily determined by the image of God that he was made to be. To fully know the original true identity of man, we have to know the image of God that man became. It is clear that the original man, Adam, was not exactly God, therefore we have to know the details of the image of God that man was made of. So, what does it mean that man was made in the image of God? What is it that God breathed in man? What exactly did God breathed into him that is called the breath of Life? What does it mean that man became a living soul? What does "Living Soul" means? What make up a living soul? Why did God decide to make man in His image? And of what use is it to man that he was made in the image of God?
