Kisses and Lies
By: Ruth Havens
A future of possibilities begins when, with his kiss, he draws you into his arms, his world, his life.
His kisses drew her unexplainably into the dream of a future with him. Possibilities.
There is where she found herself two decades later, still intoxicated by him, still wanting him.
She had been loving him for so long, so intensely, that other men in her life passed by as shadows. No one could replace him. Other men drifted through her mind and vanished, swallowed up in the memories of life with Corey.
Their divorce had left her free, legally, but the words on the papers did not, could not, make her heart free. Their love affair could not be silenced. It refused to let go of the dream that had begun with his kiss.
"Sometimes," she thought, "the heart knows things the mind can't explain."
