I AM ASKING YOU TO PROTECT AND DEFEND
In Tasmania, Rex Golding, leader of the Red Guards controls the city of Launceston, a badly scarred Sev Walker tries to build a new life in the small community of Ulverstone, and the Professor mistakenly insults Maz Wyndham in a way that could bring total destruction to the city of Hobart. And in Melbourne the citizens begin to learn the truth about the origins of their cult as Saad Dean fans the flames of civil unrest through the ideology of free energy and a moneyless society.
The two tall, strong, and handsome High Priest Enforcers strode purposefully into the bomber plane with the confidence of a full year's piloting practice all leading up towards this very moment.
"The godless atheists are going to pay now." Thornton grinned.
"Dexter and Ferguson would be so jealous if they knew what was about to happen," Crawford replied.
Thornton and Crawford had gotten along well with Dexter. Ferguson they were scared of, which, in fact, most sane people would be.
"They failed, but we won't." Thornton grinned even more.
"Praise be to Almighty God," Crawford replied as they sat down in the cockpit.
"Praise be to our Lord," Thornton said solemnly now, as the word God had been mentioned.
The shame and embarrassment they felt when they saw the replay of the incident was one they would never forget. For the next few days, they had to endure the smiling stares from the general public, and this only stopped when Crawford stabbed one of them out of pure anger. But to his surprise, the people didn't immediately back off after the stabbing; they kept staring at them, but this time it was a quizzical sort of stare. Thornton again thought of the dead Ferguson. Nobody would have stared at him for long, that's for sure.
"Flight time is about an hour," Crawford said.
"And the payload is magnificent," Thornton replied, thinking about all the bombs on the plane. "Hobart will soon be a smoking ruin."
