About the Book

Killing America is a thriller mystery. Jake Cord is a spy for the elite Special Activities Division of the National Clandestine Services of the CIA. Jake Cord, CIA agent, is embroiled in a plot that spans the globe from Washington to Monte Carlo, Tehran, Riyadh and Matamoros. The reader is led the through paths of intrigue and betrayal that leads to the highest levels of government. Jake Cord is an unconventional spy. His mode of dress are faded jeans, white starched shirt and cowboy boots. He is an ex-SEAL with lightning-quick hand-to-hand combat skills-an expert with weapons and explosives. His muscular six-foot-two frame and grayish-blue eyes have a unique sparkle, a warm smile that could melt an iceberg, a ruggedly handsome face, and a soft spoken western drawl comprises the image most people have of him. People that don't know Jake think he is just a country hick-a false assumption to the chagrin of his adversaries. He is very bright and quick-witted with a good-old-boy country charm and sense of humor. He can also be a deadly force that can kill an adversary in the blink of an eye. Bombs laced with radioactive waste materials start exploding in America. The stock exchanges and financial markets are closed. The CIA and Jake Cord are tasked with finding and eliminating the source of these bombs. He is paired with an unlikely MI6 agent of the British Secret Service. They begin their mission with a lead to an international spy based in Monte Carlo. This lead takes them on unique and precarious paths that culminate in confrontations with international rogue agents from several Middle Eastern countries. Jake discovers the source of the bombs and believes his mission is complete until he uncovers an unlikely alliance between Iran and Saudi Arabia that is designed to engage America in a devastating war that will bring forth an Armageddon event. The dirty bombs are just a subterfuge. Bad elements within the Saudi government try to coerce America into attacking Iran by clandestinely detonating dirty radiological bombs within America that have been smuggled through the Mexican border. Religious fanatics within the Iranian government are independently seeking to hasten the return of the Twelfth Imam and the end-of-times by bringing forth Armageddon through attacking America with medium range nuclear missiles fired from modified cargo ships that are armed with HEMP (High-Attitude Electromagnetic Pulse) nuclear bombs. HEMPs could destroy the county's electrical grid and transportation systems. America would be propelled back to the horse and buggy technology of the 1800s in a millisecond. The tangled plot becomes more convoluted when self-serving high government officials intercede with their own undercover agendas, and a President that creates additional obstacles impeding Jake Cord from resolving the mounting conflicts. Killing America is a thriller spy novel of complex twists with a cadre of beautiful women, unexpected deadly encounters, kidnappings, enemy spies and secret agents, corrupt politicians and seemingly insurmountable obstacles that must be conquered as Jake Cord battles the forces of evil and corruption. Will he save America from nuclear war and utter devastation? Killing America is a mystery thriller that involves the FBI, CIA, NSA, US military, British MI6, and other foreign intelligence agencies.
