About the Book

A drunk driver killed their mother, and after their child molesting father abandoned them by running away with some woman to New Mexico, the 4 sisters overcame intense personal trauma to become not your regular full service dating organization, The Four Sisters.Read about the insane lunatic ravings of an institutionalized woman, as she relates these stories that flew through her twisted mind about her relatives, in between her isolation room straitjacket wall bouncing, electroshock therapy sessions, group counseling sessions and psychotropic drug injections. It was not always a good time for Katherine. Cursed with a chemical brain imbalance from her mother's side, at age 22 Kate started having schizophrenic and psychotic mania episodes mixed in with a catatonic, bi-polar mental brain condition. At age 24 she was finally committed to the Maryland State insane asylum, where only the worst and most hopeless cases go who cannot be cured by any other means. While locked up in the insane asylum, when they let her out of her straitjacket, and in between her electro-shock treatments, she was tasked with writing down her impressions in a daily diary so as to help her team of psychologists and doctors determine what her schizophrenias, fantasies and psychoses were so they could come up with a treatment plan to help her. Instead, her twisted mind started writing these fictional stories about her and her 3 other sisters and a childhood friend named Maria from high school. The 4 Sisters business of a dating service, relationship counseling, wedding planning, a church marriage service with personal catering was a mere figment of her damaged mind, and these stories are all pure fiction. Her journal writing did have the therapeutic effect of drawing Kate out of her deluded shell of fragmented consciousness, so her doctors could contact what was left of her rational mind to help her. The doctors went along with these stories until they could establish communication with Kate, so they could get her a mental connection back to reality.Read about the insane lunatic ravings of an institutionalized woman, as she relates these stories that flew through her twisted mind about her relatives, in between her electroshock therapy sessions and psychotropic drug injections. These stories came to the attention of a newspaperman, Dale Simmons, who worked for the Daily Bugle in Winchester, Maryland.Simmons visited her in the lunatic asylum nuthouse. He convinced Kate to read him her stories that she had written from behind the iron bars into a digital tape recorder. Simmons then transcribed all of her unusual stories she had written into a readable format. These are the 4 Sisters stories as they were told to her ghostwriter/interviewer Dale Simmons from behind the bars of the most hopeless lunatic asylum in the United States.Once she was later stabilized and was able to let go of her delusions, Kate was then put on a series of maintenance drug medications. Katherine then decided to go back to college and graduate with a Doctorate Degree in Psychology (PsyD) from the University of Maryland. Dr. Katherine Elizabeth McKellum now runs a psychiatric counseling practice in Maryland. Dr. McKellum carries on her healing work at the McKellum Clinic for Abnormal Psychology Studies in Harpers Grove, Maryland.Armed with a degree and her unique life experience, Dr. Kate McKellum has a special empathy when dealing with her troubled patients. She was given and continues to take psychotropic drugs to keep her at a functioning level so she can communicate and help others with similar problems.Dr. Kate shares her inspiring story with her patients that she sees daily, and with the many friends who support her and her healing work.Dr. Kate, as she is known, inspires her friends and her patients alike with her life story. This then, is the story of her life, and how she came up with the ideas of the 4 Sisters Stories.
