Kamaru es el planeta de origen, del cual Manuel Ricardo Castañeda Agudelo trae seres al planeta azul (como le llaman a la tierra) a explorar lejos de casa. En la entrada al planeta tierra, dos de los personajes principales, Naumel y Ordisi de la nave Kamaruniana, descubren que veintitrés de los cuerpos y sus ocupantes han perecido, como también se percatan que sus propios cuerpos se encuentran en estado decrépito, aun así, la energía de estos seres Kamarunianos les alcanza para cruzar la atmósfera terrestre cayendo en medio del mar. Naumel cree contemplar la muerte del ente de su mejor amigo Ordisi y para conservar su propia existencia debe tomar un cuerpo humano que esté vacío, es decir, sin aliento de vida. Por lo tanto, decide irse a explorar en la búsqueda de su nuevo traje, ya que al estar lejos de casa necesita de un cuerpo para prolongar su halo. Al no lograr hacer el empalme con su nuevo cuerpo este cae inconsciente y al despertar empieza a padecer amnesia. Después, al intentar realizar labores con Josahim quien lo acogió en su hogar, lo muerde una víbora poniendo su cuerpo en peligro de muerte lo que hace que su ente pueda realizar su primera conexión lejos de casa, iniciando la recuperación de la amnesia. Él descubre que la amistad en el planeta azul es igual a la de su hogar en Kamaru, ya que siente, pero también comparte las alegrías y necesidades de los terrestres como propias; además este ser explora las capacidades y debilidades de los que habitan en la que ahora es su nueva morada; aprendiendo a sobrevivir en el cuerpo adquirido estando lejos de casa. El Kamaruniano viaja a Roma con Josahim, una vez estando lejos de casa entran a la gran ciudad donde se horroriza cuando se da por enterado de la existencia de personas subyugadas por su misma especie, siendo condenadas a una vida llena de vicisitudes, arrebatándoles sus derechos, torturando sus cuerpos y sometiéndoles a la esclavitud. Sin embargo, no todo es consternación, encuentran al hijo de su anfitrión con el que se crea una gran amistad, ratificando sus conclusiones sobre la similitud de la amistad que existe en Kamaru, también se asombra con la majestuosa construcción del anfiteatro Flavio. Este anfiteatro era totalmente grandioso, aquí se realizaban todo tipo de espectáculos especialmente las venationes. Por otra parte, los exploradores estando lejos de casa se encuentran con el sentimiento que les produce gran atracción por las féminas: el amor. El amor que existe en su planeta Kamaru, es considerado como amor eterno entre sus entes, porque al cambiar de cuerpo perdura el amor. El otro ser, Ordisi, que logró mantenerse con vida lejos de casa y de su compañero, finalmente se reintegra a la aventura de la exploración y es allí cuando siente amor, al punto de dar la vida de su traje por la libertad de su amada y la de los horros que los acompañaban en una batalla. Naumel al tener un profundo lazo de amor y amistad con su amigo decide también acompañarlo en su nuevo viaje, apoyándolo y entregando su cuerpo en la batalla. De esta manera los exploradores sacrifican su primer traje lejos de casa.
