About the Book

ENGLISH DESCRIPTION

His return to the life he had feared lost will not be easy. For awhile, he will be pursued by guilt and a series of mysterious people who, it seems, wish to protect the darkest secrets of this powerful congregation.

"I would say that bad thoughts besieged me. That the temptation of the flesh was about to beat me. That prayer had not been a sufficient antidote and I had found myself obliged to get up while the demon was backing away from from my bed. That's what I would say if one of my brothers had discovered me out of my room at dawn, walking the hallways." Vicente Robledo has been part of Opus Dei since he was fifteen. Upon coming of age and being faithful to his commitment to the congregation, he makes the difficult decision to leave his family in order to move into one of the Order's residences. Now, at almost thirty years old, sunk in depression and the victim of a psychiatric treatment controlled by his superiors, Vicente endangers himself by snooping in the Opus Dei archives in search of the motives that will lead him to desert.
