About the Book

"Just a Little Bit More - The Heart of a Mentor" is a book about the principles and dynamics of biblical mentoring. It is the product of more than 20 years of ministry. It recounts Dr. Abramson's mentoring experiences from Asia, the South Pacific and across America. It will equip you with greater competence, skill and motivation to mentor others. Mentoring, in its essence, is a process of loving and nurturing the people God assigns us along the way to our destinies, and theirs. These are divine appointments and purposeful connections, marked with divinely intended results. The mentoring process is birthed out of our recognition and acceptance that we have come upon somebody God asks us to connect with for a season, so He can change and equip them for an eternity. If we understand and execute this process correctly, it becomes a two-way street. As we teach and train them, the experience becomes our teacher as well as theirs. "Just a Little Bit More" will introduce you to many people God has given Dr. Abramson and his wife Nancy to mentor. The book will present you with the mentoring dynamics and principles gleaned through their experiences. It is intended to be more than a "how to" manual on mentoring. It is a collection of brief narratives, illustrating the grace of God at work through His loving, purposeful intervention in the lives of His people. He will use our mentoring relationships to turn the blank canvasses of many lives into colorful, significant portraits of fully functioning people who find their strength and purpose in Him. You will learn from the people you meet on the pages of this book. God will speak through them, not just about mentoring, but about His graceful intervention and favor toward those who dedicate themselves to following Him. You will read about the victories of people who found His strength in their weakness, His purpose in their willingness, and His love in the lives of those they touched.
