Studienarbeit aus dem Jahr 2005 im Fachbereich Deutsch - Pädagogik, Didaktik, Sprachwissenschaft, Note: sehr gut (1,0), Ruprecht-Karls-Universität Heidelberg (Germanistisches Seminar), Veranstaltung: Einführung in die jiddische Sprache und Kultur, 20 Quellen im Literaturverzeichnis, Sprache: Deutsch, Abstract: Robin Hood, der Held vieler englischer Balladen, beraubt weltliche und geistliche Herren um mit deren Überfluss die Armen zu unterstützen. Hier wird das Jiddische als solch ein Gerechtigkeitskämpfer dargestellt, der von reichen Sprachen oder deren Sprechern nimmt und den Armen gibt. Was aber macht eine Sprache zu einer Wohlhabenden, zu einer die 'zu viel des Guten' besitzt? Enteignet das Jiddische anderen Sprache manche Teile? Oder vielmehr deren Sprecher? Und wen begünstigt es mit dem Diebesgut? Eine weniger vermögende Sprache oder eine an 'Spracharmut' leidende Gemeinschaft? Oder begünstigt der Krieger der Gleichberechtigung namens Jiddisch hier nicht zuletzt sich selbst, beziehungsweise seine Sprecher? Gleichzeitig gibt sich Robin Hood hier als Gastfreund, der ohne Einschränkung und ohne Anforderung einer Gegenleistung jeden, der bei ihm anklopft, empfängt, ihm Quartier und Nahrung bietet. Demnach muss das Jiddische ja jede Sprache, die ihm begegnet, nicht nur vollständig aufnehmen, sondern zusätzlich bereichern. Gäste gehen aber wieder, und die wenigsten unter ihnen hinterlassen tatsächlich prägende Spuren bei ihrem ehemaligen Gastgeber. Dies hieße, dass das Jiddische andere Sprachsysteme zuerst in das Seine aufnimmt, sie dann aber wieder tilgt. Inwieweit darf oder kann das Jiddische nun als Robin Hood, inwieweit es als Gastgeber bezeichnet werden ?
