About the Book

Jaden, a nine-year-old boy, has an accident while riding his bike on the way to a friend's house. Having been struck by a car, he dies on the scene. He is taken to heaven on a bicycle built for two by an ancestor, and has a number of adventures and other types of experiences during his orientation school. Food lover that he is, many events involve food. Relatives give him a home and offer him friendship while he begins his wait for the rest of his family to rejoin him. He watches surround-sound videos of family history, his own history, and answers to prayer. He meets historical people in the sciences and music, and begins to learn music. His coaches for baseball include a new friend, and his daily Bible lessons with friends are led by Jesus himself. After thirty days (as measured by his sleep times), he graduates from Orientation School. His name, Jaden, comes from non-biblical Hebrew and means God (Ja-) Has Heard (-den). Many of his experiences during the first thirty days can be inferred from Bible passages as possible to experience in Heaven. I have also read many books which have included experiences which were interpreted as being of Heaven. One common thread is that the five senses were enhanced. Several mentioned seeing relatives. I have assumed that biblical characters are approachable as well as being teachers of the books that they wrote. Heaven being a real place for a prepared people, there will be no sin there, and all tears will be wiped away from our eyes. Who can even begin to comprehend what we can experience? We will have all eternity to be with our loving heavenly Father. Who can begin to understand what He has for us? Perhaps a novel like this can be a very small start in that direction.
About the Author: Ruth Robbins comes from Wisconsin and lives with family members. She has read on the subject of heaven through many sources, as well as listening to a number of teachers and writers on the subject. In all things, though, her source is the Bible for this and all she has read has been through this filter. She attends an Assemblies of God church near her home, and has traveled on missions trips to Los Angeles in the U.S. and several places in India, while visiting friends as well. The oldest of eight children, she grew up in a home that was noisy at times with loving parents. She was exposed to hearing the Bible and memorizing verses from an early age. Family devotions, prayer, and church attendance were the norm. Even so, an awareness of the need to know Jesus came early, and she is not aware of a time when she did not know Him. After graduation from a Lutheran High School, she attended Concordia College (now University) in Chicago, picked up a number of other college level Bible courses from three other colleges, and completed her bachelor's a number of years later at Western Kentucky University, with a major in Library Media Education and minor in writing. Reading widely in many fields, she uses her extensive reading in volunteer work and in talking with people in many different walks of life. It is her prayer that you would use this book to enhance your own walk with the Lord, perhaps receive help in a difficult time of life, and perhaps as a witnessing tool for someone who needs Jesus. Be blessed as you follow the Lord in life.
