About the Book

Jaded Heart is a character driven story that follows a man, Rich Emory, a two strike convict paroled to a new work release program and his new employers despise him. During the first week of freedom, a grisly murder occurs in the apartment next to his where he is the prime suspect. If arrested and convicted of this crime he did not commit, would mark him under California's three strikes law and eligible for a life sentence. So in his mind, he does the next best thing in keeping his freedom, he runs. He runs as far away from his present location as he can get. While on the run, his picture is splashed across the television screen from coast to coast. He manages to find refuge in Kansas farm only to find out they are sexual sadists. With his face plastered on the television, he is pinned on the farm. Can he continue keep his cool and hide out on the farm or will he turn himself in and take his chances with the California legal system.
About the Author: The eldest of two children, John Kinter was born in Sewickley, Pennsylvania, in 1964. He graduated from Ambridge High School in 1982. After spending ten years in the military, he left where he attended the Community College of Beaver County with a Computer Information System degree in 1996. He has held several computer positions around the Pittsburgh area, currently working for a major international law firm while working on writing projects during the evenings and weekends. John's first novel, Paradise Confined, Prison Island, was published the end of 2009 centers around the top six nation decide to create an island paradise turned prison for the worse of the worse from prisons around the world. With no bars who would want to escape. These men are placed on the island with a bag of basic supply of survival. Can the men placed on the island survive and what does it take to survive on this island. Can the beautiful news anchor and her boyfriend decode the message in time before the terrorists can strike again? Dreamweaver chronicles a coming of age story of three teenage girls who go to the carnival to visit the Dreamweaver, a fortune teller. While getting their reading a disgruntled visitor comes back with a gun. The girls are able to get the gun away from the man and police were able to subdue him. Later that evening, the Dreamweaver meets with the three teenagers and she offer them one wish each. It is what those girls do with that wish that sets the course of their lives. The book John is most proud of is A Matter Of Survival. The story was written with his granddaughters in mind. The book took three months to complete its first edit. In less than six months, the book was completed in six months. John has also written and published five short stories, A Penny For Your Thoughts, Cabin Fever, Claude's Christmas Story, The Basement, and The Card.
