About the Author: I earned a BA in Psychology and and MBA at Wayne State University in Detroit, Michigan. I completed training in Vocational Evaluation and Work Adjustment at the University of Wisconsin-Stout. I studied Guidance & Counseling at Oakland University. I am a past member of the American Personnel & Guidance Association, and the Vocational Evaluation & Work Adjustment Association. My work experiences include: Vocational Evaluator, Rehabilitation Counselor, and careers as a State Energy Project Coordinator, Material Handling Business Manager, and Information Systems Manager. I have worked in the private sector, the public sector, been self-employed and had business partners. I recently designed and delivered a series of 8 workshops specifically designed for the short-term and long-term unemployed, including the never employed and those seeking their first jobs.
