Studienarbeit aus dem Jahr 2011 im Fachbereich Politik - Sonstige Themen, Note: 1,0, Universität Rostock (Institut für Politik- und Verwaltungswissenschaften), Veranstaltung: Frauen und Politik - Politik und Frauen, Sprache: Deutsch, Abstract: Mädchen sind in der Schule besser als Jungen, auch in der akademischen Laufbahn stehen Studentinnen und Absolventinnen ihren männlichen Kommilitonen in nichts nach: 55,7 % der Abiturienten sind weiblich, 51 % der Hochschulabsolventen mit abgeschlossenem Studium sind Frauen. Aber wie das Deutsche Institut für Wirtschaftsforschung (DIW) kürzlich mitteilte, sind nur 3,2 % der Vorstandsposten in den 200 größten deutschen Konzernen von Frauen besetzt (in den Aufsichtsräten sind 10 % weiblich). Dieser Prozentsatz schrumpft, umso kleiner der Kreis der größten Unternehmen gezogen wird: Bei den 100 größten Unternehmen und den 30 DAX-Unternehmen waren es nur 2,2 %. 27 der 30 DAX-Unternehmen haben keine einzige Managerin in ihrem Vorstand. Und wenn Frauen Top-Positionen besetzen, sind sie schlechter bezahlt als ihre männlichen Kollegen. Frauen verdienen durchschnittlich 1/5 weniger, wobei die Differenz in Führungspositionen sogar noch weiter anwächst. Diese kleinen Prozentsätze und der höchstens marginale Zuwachs an Frauen in Führungspositionen zeigt, dass die freiwillige Selbstverpflichtung der Unternehmen nichts verändert hat. Bei der öffentlichen Diskussion wird klar, dass verschiedene Möglichkeiten debattiert werden, Frauen in Führungspositionen zu etablieren, dass sich aber etwas ändern muss und dieser skandalöse Zustand nicht beibehalten werden darf und kann, steht hingegen nicht zur Debatte.
