Studienarbeit aus dem Jahr 2009 im Fachbereich BWL - Investition und Finanzierung, Note: 2,0, Heinrich-Heine-Universität Düsseldorf, Veranstaltung: Seminar "Innovative Finanzprodukte", Sprache: Deutsch, Abstract: "In Islam, it is ethics that dominates economics and not the other way around." Beim Islamic Finance werden Finanzprodukte bzw. -services angeboten, die eine Konformität zum islamischen Recht, der Scharia, aufweisen. Die vorrangigen Rechtsquellen der Scharia sind der Koran sowie die Sunna. Zu den Zielen der Scharia gehören unter anderem die Förderung der Gerechtigkeit und die Wohlstandsmehrung in der Gesellschaft. Finanzinstrumente des Islamic Finance basieren so auf zwei Prinzipien: dem Gewinn- und Verlustaufteilungs-Prinzip und dem Mark-up-Prinzip. Während das erst genannte Prinzip z.B. bei den beiden eigenkapitalbasierten Finanzinstrumenten Mudarabah (Kapitel 3.1) und Musharakah (Kapitel 3.2) angewendet wird, ist dies beim Mark-up-Prinzip z.B. bei dem fremdkapitalbasierten Finanzinstrument Murabahah (Kapitel 2.1) der Fall. Im Rahmen dieser Seminararbeit wird auf die o.g. Finanzinstrumente und auf zwei weitere fremdkapitalbasierte Finanzinstrumente des Islamic Finance - Istisnaa (Kapitel 2.2) und Qard Hassan (Kapitel 2.3) - eingegangen. Um den deskriptiven Teil dieser Seminararbeit so gering wie möglich zu halten und den Schwerpunkt auf die Analyse zu legen, liegt der Fokus dieser Seminararbeit auf den kapitalbasierten Finanzinstrumenten des Islamic Finance. Auf das Leasing und die Services als islamische Investitions- und Finanzierungstechniken kann hier somit (leider) nicht eingegangen werden. Daraufhin wird kurz auf das Islamic Banking als ein Teilgebiet des Islamic Finance eingegangen (Kapitel 4). In Kapitel 5 wird dann aufgezeigt, wie sich Islamic Finance bzw.
