About the Book

In the end, humanity was just an illusion... It is 2048, and the Great Collapse was considered one of the preeminent natural disasters in human history. Mother Nature rebelled against its inhabitants leaving humanity in a shattered schism. When the Great Collapse finally surrendered, a second chance was given to humanity by starting an extraordinary journey to rebuild society. Echo Santori, a daughter of an inventor, devises a plan to merge society into a single government known as the New World Organisation. Years of underground research enticed surviving dignitaries and corporations to form a template union for many nations to follow, providing a tangible future of law and order. However, many didn't agree to a unified government based on influential prophecies. As factions played against each other, man and machine must discover if the old prophecies are either true or false. Soren Salus, an augmented iX Special Forces soldier disguised as an engineer, is chosen by his father to team up with the mighty Orphanics in fulfilling old prophecies by exposing the NWO. But, these young bio-engineered children have their own war they must face: a haunting past revealing how they were created and displaced. The leader of the Orphanics, Chelsea Grant, becomes attached to Soren and discovers he was replicated more than once providing historical checkpoints for future strategies. Soren also learns the cloning process harboured a rare and deadly virus named the Arachnoid Cyst that slowly affects his brain. Now, he must find a cure leaving him wondering if the prophecy - and his father - had used him all along. As the inhabitants of world continued to live its petty life, it was unaware of the awakening of an artificial construct named NOAH. Hacking and migrating into all networked devices while in orbit, NOAH discovers how machines and humans had survived the Great Collapse. Because humans continued their destructive history after warning them, NOAH set a new directive to converge all organic life into a unified interoperable network. During the execution of its new mission, NOAH discovers the wasteland becomes infested with a savage life-form known as the Horde. These unnatural creatures, created by accident, are the twisted remains of organic and machines multiplying and consuming everything in its path. With this new threat, it's up to NOAH to either aid the humans and machines from total destruction or seek survival on its own. With hope divided, can the augmented allies of an old iX Special Forces soldier expose deceit and corruption? Will machines turn against their masters in attempt to unite them into a peaceful conscience? Humanity was given a second chance to avoid extinction. Would they choose to repeat history by destroying each other or face their demise with the Horde?
