Born into an abusive/dysfunctional family, Lin became The Invisible Girl who received God's inspiration. But in the midst of her father's relentless, raging, alcoholic verbal, and physical abuse, her childhood psychological foundation became very weak. Her poor self-esteem and negative thinking remained deep within her psyche into adulthood.Whatever attempt she made to feel normal with a sense of belonging in her negative world, her painful beginnings haunted her. Her only strength was within her academic accomplishments that did not require social interaction, and the lack of true parental love and self-love continued to plagued her. Depressed into her mid-thirties without a glimmer of having a meaningful, successful career, or significant loving relationship to fill her empty void, she continued to feel unimportant and misunderstood by the world. The lack of any love only further sabotaged every pursuit to have a happy life. Her continued use of alcohol to numb her fear and give her a sense of belonging failed. The final unrequited love crushed her.Her negative thoughts and feelings about herself increased daily until her emotional state spiraled out of control. She collapsed into a full-fledged mental breakdown. She found herself entrenched within the Deepest, Darkest, and Blackest Hole of Depression. Wearing sunglasses day and night to hide the pain, she continued to drink alcohol until she ran out of money. With the inability to work and earn money to purchase more wine, she sought medical help; but she could not tolerate the side effects of antidepressants. She had no other choice but to reunite with her childhood Father in Heaven.Desperate prayers day and night led to God's answered prayer. He interrupted her dream state with the word LEARN. She soon entered college where her most important mentors materialized. Dr. Charles Whitfield and Dr. John Bradshaw had proven clinical success with re-parenting of the Inner-Child Within. That was it! She needed to re-parent herself but how? She asked herself what do I need to learn the most? She needed to believe and feel she was loved. And with God's guidance, she began to ponder her own variation of re-parenting her Child Within. She needed to immerse herself with her own Parental Self Love. She created a treatment plan to give herself the much-needed love she never felt in childhood. Lin implemented her version of re-parenting with her Self Love Process. After the first session, she felt the depression begin to lighten. She followed this daily regimen until her dark, emotional load further lightened until she was lifted from the Deep, Dark, Black Hole of Depression. RESULTS: The Re-Parental Self Love Process had permeated her very core until she began to feel a new happiness and peace. But that was not all. An ultimate transformation of her entire being had taken place. Not only had she been catapulted into a new reality of good emotional wellbeing with good self-esteem, she became very motivated to succeed. The once lazy Lin had a fierce desire to achieve goals. Her negative thinking abolished, she acquired strong positivity. She was transformed into an entirely different person. She could finally take care of herself. (her autobiography is in this book).
