Studienarbeit aus dem Jahr 2011 im Fachbereich Medien / Kommunikation - Forschung und Studien, Note: 1,0, Universität Wien (Institut für Theater-, Film- und Medienwissenschaft), Veranstaltung: Übung Medienanalyse "Medialität/Intermedialität: Zur Eigenwertigkeit der Medien", Sprache: Deutsch, Abstract: Interessant an Miguel de Cervantes Saavedras Roman Don Quijote (1605/1615) erschien mir, wie der Autor mit der Illusion und mit verschiedenen Medien, also mit der (Inter)Medialität des Romans spielt - zu Beginn einer Zeit, als die Medialisierung durch den Buchdruck ungekannte Ausmaße annimmt und mit dem dadurch ermöglichten stillen Lesen identifikatorische Konsummöglichkeiten bietet. Wie kann Intermedialität im Roman dargestellt werden? Don Quijote zeigt das vielgestaltig bereits zu Beginn des Textes. Anhand des ersten Abschnitts des ersten Bandes (Vorrede bis Kapitel 9) soll dieses Vorgehen beleuchtet werden. Ein Überblick über den der Arbeit zugrunde liegenden Romananfang geht der interpretierenden Analyse voraus, in deren Rahmen konzis auf die Form des (Ritter)Romans bzw. seine Parodie, auf die Problematik der Autorschaft und wie sie im Don Quijote thematisiert wird, auf das Spiel mit Illusion und Wirklichkeit, mit dem Cervantes seine Leser konfrontiert, sowie explizit auf die Medialität des Romananfangs eingegangen wird. Basierend auf einem unabgeschlossenen Filmprojekt Orson Welles' wird angedeutet, wie die Medienverquickung im Roman filmisch adäquat dargestellt werden könnte.
