Inhaltsangabe: Zusammenfassung: Es geht heute verstärkt darum, im Bereich der Interkulturellen Erziehung neue Wege zu suchen, Wege, die meist nicht begradigt, geebnet oder geteert sind, die aber trotz ihres Unbegehbar-Erscheinens zugänglich gemacht werden können. Mittel einer Interkulturellen Erziehung erfordern in unserer heutigen Gesellschaft neue Formen und ein breiteres Spektrum an Möglichkeiten. Nicht nur die Vermittlung der Zweisprachigkeit, sondern gerade die Einführung in unterschiedliche Rollenerwartungen verschiedener Kulturen, ihre Religionen, ihre Sitten etc. steht im Zentrum eines bewußten Umgangs mit der Interkulturalität. Notwendig ist hier das Handeln auf zwei Ebenen: einerseits die seelische Stärkung des Kindes, um es vor dem Zerbrechen an Diskriminierungserfahrungen wenigstens ansatzweise zu schützen zu versuchen, andererseits der Einsatz für gesellschaftliche Veränderungen, damit Rassismus und Vorurteilen frühzeitig Einhalt geboten werden kann. Da die Kunst in unserer Zeit stärker noch als in vergangenen Epochen gesellschaftliche Aufgaben hat, die nicht von der ästhetischen Dimension einer Arbeit zu trennen sind, liegt vor allem auch in diesem Bereich ein fruchtbarer Boden für eine Erziehung im interkulturellen Kontext. Kunst ist immer nur ein Glied des Lebens, ist eine schöpferische Tat des Menschen, der die eigene Existenz und seine Umgebung gestaltet und so künstlerisch den ihm zugänglichen Ausschnitt der Welt formt und organisiert. Der Versuch, diese stärkere Beachtung einer sich bereichernden Verknüpfung beider Bereiche im Sinne einer „Interkulturellen Erziehung durch und in der Kunst" zu vermitteln ist Hauptanliegen meiner Arbeit. „...Zuerst trachte ein Mensch, der Poet sein will, nach völliger Selbsterkenntnis.
