Das ist nicht neu, doch die Heterogenität unserer Gesellschaft wird aktuell vermehrt in öffentlichen Diskursen behandelt. Vorallem in Schuleinrichtungen sehen sich Lehrkräfte mit den Auswirkungen von Diversität konfrontiert. Unsere "plurale, sozioökonomisch ungleiche und migrantisch geprägte Gesellschaft" (Donlic et al 2019) stellt, das derzeitige Bildungssystem vor "mannigfaltiger Herausforderungen" (ebd.). Bereits im Jahre 2006 veröffentlichten die Vereinten Nationen ein Übereinkommen über die Rechte von Menschen mit Behinderung. Die UN-Behindertenrechtskonvention "konkretisiert bestehende Menschenrechte für die Lebenssituation von Menschen mit Behinderungen mit dem Ziel, ihre Chancengleichheit in der Gesellschaft zu fördern. Das Vertragswerk stellt einen wichtigen Schritt zur Stärkung der Rechte von weltweit rund 650 Millionen beeinträchtigter Menschen dar." (vgl. ebd.). Das deutsche Bildungssystem adressiert seine Unterrichtsgestaltung bisher an "einen fiktiven Durchschnittsschüler, [...] nie aber an alle mit ihren jeweiligen Bedürfnissen und Voraussetzungen." (Fromm 2019, S. 73). Somit hat die inklusive Bewegung gegen "selektive schulische und gesellschaftliche Strukturen" und "eingefahrene Unterrichtspraktiken und Lehr-Lern-Verständnisse" (ebd.) anzukämpfen. Diversität spielt in der Bildung eine zentrale Rolle. Diese Hausarbeit behandelt das Thema der Diversität im Bildungsspektrum unter folgender Fragestellung: "Können digitale Medien zum Gelingen eines inklusiven Unterrichts beitragen?" Im ersten Schritt werden die zentralen Begrifflichkeiten dieser Hausarbeit definiert. Hierzu gehören 'Diversität', ihre Erscheinungsformen und Förderbedarfe.
