About the Book

Have you ever wondered what REALLY happens in the Human Resources department? Inside the Revolving Door: Chronicles From the Human Resources Department takes you into a fictional world of short stories told through the lens of HR leaders as they manage employees and company leaders, while trying to maintain their own sanity.
About the Author: Tana Session started her career in Human Resources as an administrative assistant to the Director of Personnel at Ernst & Young in the mid-90s. Since then, she realized that the field was a passion for her. Over the years, she has held almost every position imaginable, while building her resume and expertise in the profession. Tana holds a Bachelor's degree in Business Administration and a MBA in Organizational Psychology and Development. She has also obtained multiple certifications in the field of Human Resources (PHR, GPHR, SHRM-SCP), and is a certified trained Career and Life Coach, who is currently pursuing her Professional Certified Coach (PCC) accreditation from the International Coach Federation (ICF). In addition to previously owning her own business, Tana has also served as the top Human Resources leader for multiple companies, including for profit and non-profit organizations. Through the years, she has been recognized for her level of professionalism, leadership, strategic initiatives and ability to streamline processes to increase the efficiency of her team. Tana recognizes talent and looks to groom and develop future leaders. Her experience has enabled her to embed her passion for the field of Human Resources and Coaching in everything she develops and implements. Tana also serves as an on-demand HR Consultant for various global investment research firms, who connect established industry and field experts with various investment research analysts worldwide. In 2014, Tana established TMS Business Solutions, Inc. (www.tmsbizsolutions.com), to offer her HR and Coaching expertise through consulting and speaking engagement opportunities. Tana sits on the Board of Directors for the Boys & Girls Club of Hollywood as their resident HR expert, and the National Association of African-Americans in Human Resources (NAAAHR) as the Vice President of Programs/Professional Development; and volunteers as a Career Advisement Coach with Dress for Success Los Angeles. In her free time, Tana likes to travel and spend time with family and friends. In June 2014, Tana and her family relocated from New York to Los Angeles. She now enjoys getting to know her new home state.
